global talent mobility survey 2024: trends and insights for small-to-midsized programs

For organizations, global talent mobility is not only a strategic benefit but often a requirement in today’s fast-moving and competitive talent markets. However, relocation programs of different sizes have different needs and goals when it comes to assisting their mobile employees. That’s why we’ve gone deeper into the data from our Global Talent Mobility Survey 2024, to create a customized survey report focusing on Small-to-midsized programs. The report provides you with helpful insights and benchmarks if you manage small-to-midsized mobility programs and shows how they compare to the results from the full survey report.

key findings

Covering topics such as move types, cost management, flexibility, remote work, and DEI, here are some of the survey report’s key findings:

  • The data shows that respondents with smaller programs had similar changes in their mobility activity as the full survey group in the last two years, with 47% saying it increased and 26% each reporting no change or a decline.
  • Among those with core/flex programs, 23% said that their relocating employees chose the flex benefits, and 20% said that the HR business partner did. In our experience, a growing number of companies want to increase inclusion by letting employees pick their own flexible benefits, including those with smaller mobility programs.
