cartus APAC team gives back on CSR day

I had a fulfilling time on November 9th, the Cartus APAC team’s inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Day. It was a day where all staff across Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and India took a day off to volunteer their time to serve and give back to their community.

The Cartus Cares committee team supported and organized a variety of charitable events for employees to participate in, and we had a strong turn-out with 166 staff donating 385 hours volunteering in one of the following activities:

  • Beach clean-up at East Coast Park in Singapore
  • Park clean-up at Zhongshan Park in Shanghai
  • Park clean-up at Olympic Park in Beijing
  • Diwali snack-making at AWWA Home and Day Activity Centre in Singapore
  • Indian Heritage Centre visit with AWWA Home and Day Activity Centre beneficiaries in Singapore
  • Donating goodie bags and stretching activities with the elderly in Hong Kong (in partnership with Wan Hon Integrated Home Care Service Team)
  • Spending time with The Home for the Disabled beneficiaries in Hyderabad
  • Donating rice and spending time with The Little Sisters of the Poor beneficiaries in Bengaluru

At Cartus (and our parent company, Anywhere), we support and actively give back to our community by donating time and resources to our adopted charities and beneficiaries to positively impact the community we live and work in. As part of Anywhere’s worldwide CSR initiatives, we continue to take active steps towards creating a better future and supporting our employees in their volunteering and philanthropy aspirations.

On a personal note, this has been a humbling experience for me, spending time and interacting with the beneficiaries of AWWA; I received much more than I gave and am looking forward to more opportunities in the future. Read more on Anywhere’s Corporate Social Responsibility 2022 Report here.
