This new report is based on data from our Global Talent Mobility Survey 2024 and offers valuable insights into the Defense industry. Here’s some of our key findings:

  • For Defense sector respondents, flexible mobility isn’t a top priority or challenge, despite it ranking high in our overall survey. This is likely due to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines, which greatly impact how Defense companies can support relocating employees.
  • A lack of local talent and company growth are the two main factors that have boosted mobility activity for Defense organizations in the last two years.
  • The Defense sector stands out for having a much higher proportion of intra-country moves (95%) than all industries we surveyed in the full report (80%).
  • Businesses in the Defense sector have more frequent policy reviews than the full report average, with 60% of Defense respondents saying that they check their policies every one to two years, compared to 45% of full report respondents.
