Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: How to Support Your Relocating Employees

I recently had the pleasure of hosting our Cartus Clinic, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Supporting Your Relocating Employees. The session—led by Karen Menendez, Global Account Director, Intercultural & Language Solutions and Anna Searle, Client Services Director, Global Talent Mobility—explored best practice recommendations around supporting employee inclusion, incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) principles into mobility policy reviews, offering duty of care to the LGBTQ+ community, and providing coaching support for assignees.

If you missed it, you can watch the live event recording here.

Our pulse survey results take a deep look into questions such as:

  • How does tracking diversity data related to relocation and/or global mobility populations benefit an organisation?
  • What type of support do organisations provide to network, connect, and otherwise facilitate the inclusion of relocated employees?
  • How are organisations equipping relocating employees (and their families) to thrive within the diverse cultural and linguistic environments they encounter on assignment—and, in turn, how are they leveraging the global experiences, skills, and a more inclusive mind-set of returning employees?

On the whole, the two regional pulse surveys reiterated our original global findings in that, despite the ever-growing influence of DE&I within organisations, many global mobility teams are not yet at the forefront of necessary change.
