This summer, we welcomed Tattyanna Morales-Vega onto our team, as an Associate Intern Consultant. By the time you are reading this, she will be starting her final year at university. During her time at Cartus, Tattyanna learned firsthand what a position in the mobility industry entails and all the moving parts that go into creating a successful relocation experience for relocating employees and their families.
We were connected to Tattyanna by The Upward Mobility Program, a diverse hiring platform that brings young talent to companies looking to develop the next generation of mobility leaders. This program taught our interns the fundamentals of the relocation industry, allowed them to expand their networks, and gain confidence in themselves as young mobility professionals. When asked about the program Tattyanna noted, “Without the Upward Mobility Program, I wouldn’t have been able to navigate this experience with as much confidence as I have.”
Throughout the summer, Tattyanna mentioned the various takeaways she had from her time as a Cartus Consultant, but she succinctly summed up her internship as, “a time full of learning.” Tattyanna further expressed, “My internship allowed me to discover things about myself as an employee. I have learned about my preferred work style and how to advocate for myself.”
During her time at Cartus, Tattyanna noticed that our technology, mobility solutions, and care for our relocating employees stood out. She even had the opportunity to sample some of Cartus’ relocation services for herself, specifically our cross-cultural training program, which aims to support relocating employees before their move by helping them learn about (and appreciate!) the place they are relocating to. After utilizing some of our resources she relayed, “I am studying abroad in London this fall semester and the cross-cultural training I undertook has helped ease me into this upcoming transition. Resources like these show me that Cartus genuinely cares about all the little things that will help a relocating employee be successful in their new role.” Her comments illustrate the positive impact programs like cross-cultural or language training can have on the careers and lives of the students involved. In her final remarks Tattyanna said, “Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Cartus!”
