lunar new year 2025: the year of the snake

Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, will fall on January 29 this year. Chinese New Year, in its similar nature, is one of the most significant and widely celebrated holidays in China and among Chinese communities worldwide. The festivities, which last for 15 days, include family reunions, traditional rituals, and a time for new beginnings. This year, we welcome the arrival of the Snake—a symbol of wisdom, intuition, and transformation in Chinese culture. The spring festival is also the start of the Golden Week (January 28-February 4) during which businesses and shops close for a week (or longer). This may pose unique challenges and opportunities for those considering relocation during this period.
